BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance with higher standards and more concrete measures, will be published on Friday. The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year's 20th issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee. It calls for upholding and strengthening overall Party leadership and persistently advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance to turn the blueprint drawn up at the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee into reality. It stresses that the Party Central Committee's major policy decisions and arrangements must be implemented with stronger determination and vigor. It also demands strengthening concrete, targeted and regular oversight of the implementation of strategic initiatives, such as applying the new development philosophy, promoting high-quality development, and accelerating the building of a new development paradigm. The article requires more scientific and effective efforts to confine power to an institutional cage. It highlights that everyone is equal before laws and regulations, with no exemptions or special privileges when observing and enforcing these rules. The article says that the fight against corruption must be pursued with greater sobriety and resolve. It describes the anti-corruption campaign as a high-stakes struggle that cannot be lost, requiring an unswerving high-pressure posture to be maintained. It further demands the timely detection, accurate identification and effective resolution of all forms of corruption, with refined anti-corruption mechanisms that align oversight actions across all sectors.
