Summary
Machine summaryThe People's Armed Police hosted the fifth Great Wall International Forum on Counter-Terrorism in Beijing on October 13, drawing 320 representatives from 62 countries and organizations for three days of seminars and military demonstrations, with agenda items focused on terrorist use of unmanned weapons and AI. The forum extends a PAP-led multilateral engagement series running since 2016 that documents China's effort to position itself as a provider of counter-terrorism training, intelligence-sharing frameworks, and capacity-building to a broad international audience. The inclusion of unmanned equipment demonstrations alongside the diplomatic programming points to the PAP using the forum to showcase domestic technology as part of that capacity-building pitch, though which specific systems were displayed is not reported.
