Summary
Machine summaryThe PLA Navy's 48th escort task group — comprising the guided-missile destroyer Tangshan, guided-missile frigate Daqing, and comprehensive supply ship Taihu — arrived in Kota Kinabalu on October 8 for a five-day goodwill visit, following a technical stop at Singapore's Changi Port from October 2–4. This is a routine port-call diplomacy visit; it documents the task group's return routing from Gulf of Aden escort duty and extends the established pattern of PLA Navy ships conducting bilateral engagement stops in Southeast Asia on the homeward leg.
