BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Brunei held a reception at Muara Port on Sunday evening to mark the 99th founding anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). In his remarks, Dai Qilin, defense attache of the Chinese embassy in Brunei, said China pursues a path of peaceful development and takes an active part in UN peacekeeping, maritime escort and humanitarian relief operations to uphold world peace and build a community with a shared future for humanity. The reception also featured a photo album on the PLA's global peace efforts. Guests hailed the PLA's achievements and its role in regional and global stability, and voiced readiness to enhance bilateral friendship and military ties.
