By Huang Hao, Wu Xinwei, Hu Dawei, and Pei Gaofeng BEIJING, July 13 -- On July 13, 2026, continuous rainfall during the rainy season caused severe damage to the dirt roads in the Abyei mission area, completely cutting off the local land transportation. As a result, four remote outposts of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) faced an urgent shortage of supplies. After receiving instructions from the UNISFA aviation department, the 6th Chinese Peacekeeping Military Utility Helicopter Unit to UNISFA dispatched two transport helicopters in succession to deliver supplies to outposts deep in the wilderness, opening an aerial supply route for friendly forces on the frontline.
