(Photo by Zhang Yihan) BEIJING, June 28 -- To celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the 29th anniversary of the Chinese PLA's Garrison in Hong Kong, the PLA Hong Kong Garrison opened its Shek Kongand San Wai barracks to the public from June 28 to 29, 2026. Starting from June 20, the Chinese PLA Hong Kong Garrison successively opened its Ngong Shuen Chau, Shek Kong, and San Wai barracks to the public, attracting nearly 58,000 Hong Kong citizens for visits. The open-day activities further strengthened the connection between the garrison and the citizens of Hong Kong.
