Chemical defense troops assigned to a brigade under the Chinese PLA 82nd Group Army carried out a full-element chemical defense drill in the mountainous terrain. No prearranged plans were adopted throughout the drill, with battlefield contingencies being set up randomly. The participating troops completed consecutive tasks such as chemical hazard detection, personnel search and rescue, and area decontamination. The drill effectively enhanced the troops’ capabilities in emergency response and battlefield chemical defense support.
