Summary

Machine summary

The Xinjiang Military District's Biedieli Border Defense Company, garrisoned at 3,100 meters on the southern Tianshan range, has commissioned a fourth-generation intelligentized high-altitude barracks (智能化高原营房) after two years of construction, featuring zone-controlled radiant floor heating, a combined fixed-point and diffuse oxygen-generation system, and a science and innovation workshop with drone maintenance and border informatized equipment. The article documents the infrastructure tier the PLA now considers standard for extreme-altitude frontier postings, and the inclusion of a 战法研练 (tactics study and practice) workshop alongside the welfare upgrades points to an effort to frame living-condition investment as directly linked to combat-realistic training readiness rather than as a separate welfare line. What remains unknown is whether this fourth-generation standard is being rolled out across other high-altitude Xinjiang posts or is specific to Biedieli.
