Summary

Machine summary

A three-day 时代楷模 ('Model of the Era') report tour on defense scientist Wang Ji ran October 21–23 in Nanjing, with a six-member delegation delivering presentations to more than 2,000 faculty and students at Nanjing University, Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, and the Army Engineering University. The framing centers on 自主创新 (indigenous innovation) in national defense science and technology and the phrase 向战冲锋 ('charging forward toward war'), directing the message explicitly at military students at the Army Engineering University. This is standard political work content — a PLA propaganda tour using a named model figure to reinforce civil-military talent pipelines and indigenous defense R&D norms — and its value is as a record of how the institution links loyalty, scientific ambition, and warfighting orientation for the next generation of military engineers.
