Summary

Machine summary

Following a magnitude earthquake in Baqing County, Nagqu City, Tibet on the evening of October 22, the Western Theater Command Joint Operations Center activated its disaster relief emergency response mechanism, directing a Western Theater Command Air Force UAV to begin aerial survey by midnight and dispatching more than 300 personnel and 20 vehicles from the Tibet Military District and Tibet Corps of the People's Armed Police Force overnight; Nagqu Military Sub-district troops reached Zharuogai Village in Maru Township by approximately 0300 on October 23. This is a standard military disaster-relief response report; it documents the Joint Operations Center's coordination role across PLA and PAP components under the Western Theater Command framework, providing a baseline record of inter-agency activation timelines and force laydown in the Tibet region rather than evidence of any changed operational posture.
