新华社北京5月18日电（记者冯歆然、董雪）外交部发言人郭嘉昆18日就美国总统特朗普涉台表态答记者问。当日例行记者会上，有记者问：美国总统特朗普在15日播出的媒体专访中表示，美国对台政策没有改变，他不希望有人“独立”，不希望有人说“美国支持我们，所以我们独立吧”；美方无意寻求战争，希望两岸保持冷静。对此，台湾当局称，“中华民国”是“主权独立的民主国家”，将持续与美深化合作，确保台海安全稳定不受威胁破坏。发言人对此有何评论？郭嘉昆表示，中方注意到特朗普总统的表态。台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分，从来不是一个国家，今后也绝无可能。“台独”与台海和平水火不容。“倚外谋独”是死路一条，两岸统一才是光明大道。民进党当局应该认清大势，面对现实，悬崖勒马。
