新华社北京9月2日电（记者万倩仪、曹嘉玥）外交部发言人郭嘉昆2日表示，中美关系希望在人民，基础在民间。中方将一如既往支持两国人民多来往、多交流，续写两国人民友好故事，为中美关系发展作出新的贡献。当日例行记者会上，有记者问：近日，美国友人“赛考斯”（本名罗纳德·萨科尔斯基）时隔27年再次访问中国，与全国劳动模范、治沙英雄殷玉珍实现跨洋重逢。这一跨越山海的动人故事引发广泛关注。请问发言人对此有何评论？ “近日，曾支持中国治沙事业的美国友人萨科尔斯基，也就是大家亲切称呼的‘赛考斯’，时隔27年再次应邀访问中国。”郭嘉昆介绍，访华期间，萨科尔斯基赴内蒙古与全国劳动模范殷玉珍共同走访当年捐资建成的树林并种下友谊树，回到河南洛阳任教过的学校同师生互动，并到北京参访。郭嘉昆表示，参访期间，萨科尔斯基亲身感受到中国发生的巨大变化，再次体会到中国人民的热情友好，多次感动落泪。“我注意到他在接受记者采访时表示，‘殷玉珍和我已经证明我们可以跨越文化、打破边界。美国人民和中国人民都想和平相处，中美如同两条道路，可以殊途同归’。这些真挚朴实的话语感人至深，引发了很多情感共鸣，反映了两国人民的心声。” 郭嘉昆说，中美关系希望在人民，基础在民间。中美两国人民共同书写的一个又一个温暖故事，是中美民间友谊的生动写照，也再次证明中美两个大国完全可以相互成就、造福世界。“中方将一如既往支持两国人民多来往、多交流，续写两国人民友好故事，为中美关系发展作出新的贡献。”
