新华社北京8月28日电（记者吴梦桐、万倩仪）据报道，库克群岛议会选举结果显示，现任总理布朗带领的库克群岛党赢得多数席位，布朗将连任总理。外交部发言人林剑28日在例行记者会上答问时表示，中方对布朗总理成功连任表示祝贺。林剑表示，中方高度重视中库关系发展，愿同库克群岛新一届政府共同努力，进一步深化政治互信，拓展各领域务实合作，推动两国相互尊重、共同发展的全面战略伙伴关系继续向前发展，更好惠及两国人民。
