白居易为官清正，任杭州刺史三年，离任返乡后发现，自己任职期间在天竺山取了两片石头，顿感羞愧，遂作诗：“三年为刺史，饮冰复食檗。唯向天竺山，取得两片石。此抵有千金，无乃伤清白。”在他看来，自己私取山石看似无伤大雅，但若人人效仿，经年累月，天竺山的秀美将荡然无存。跨越千年时光，白居易这种于细微处守底线、于小节中存敬畏的修养境界，至今依旧发人深省。《关尹子》中讲：“勿轻小事，小隙沉舟；勿轻小物，小虫毒身。”意思是说，不要轻视细微之事，看似微不足道的缝隙可致舟船倾覆；不要轻视微小之物，看似毫不起眼的虫子，也可以毒伤人的身体。中国古籍中，此类箴言俯拾皆是。“夫祸患常积于忽微”“不虑于微，始成大患；不防于小，终亏大德”等，无不告诫世人，祸患往往萌发于细微之处，如果不及时加以约束和改正，日积月累便会酿成大祸。因此，修身立德必须防微杜渐、从严律己。历史上，那些操守清廉、注重小事小节的为官者，一直为世人所推崇。东汉杨震“暮夜却金”，面对“无人知晓”的说辞，坚守“天知、神知、我知、子知”的底线，不为利益所惑；唐代陆贽面对唐德宗“如鞭靴之类，受亦无伤”的劝慰，直言“贿道一开，展转滋甚，鞭靴不已，必及金玉”，坚决杜绝任何馈赠。古之先贤于细微处坚守原则、在小节上敢于较真，为今天的党员干部树立了榜样。 “夫小者大之渐，微者著之萌。”对于党员干部来说，只有注重小事小节，在细微之处绷紧纪律之弦，做到慎微慎初、慎独慎欲，才能守住大德、保全大节，避免“小隙沉舟”的现象发生。反观当下，少数党员干部一步步滑向腐败的泥潭，根源往往始于小节失守。有的自以为不犯大错，偶尔打个“擦边球”，无伤大雅；还有的自我宽慰，认为帮人排了忧、解过难，接受一点谢意理所应当……殊不知，正是这些小事小节上的不注意，给思想防线撕开了缺口，最终导致“温水煮青蛙”式的悲剧。诸多违纪违法案例警示我们，小节影响大德，小节映照品行，小节失守往往就是大节不保的开端。尽小者大，慎微者著。广大党员干部当以古训为镜鉴、以先贤为标杆，常怀“如履薄冰、如临深渊”的敬畏之心，在私底下、无人时、细微处更要严于律己，坚决摒弃“下不为例”的侥幸心理，杜绝“无人知晓”的麻痹思想，以尺寸之功锤炼坚强党性、涵养为政之德，真正做到“心不动于微利之诱，目不眩于五色之惑”，在细节中见真章，在点滴中树形象。
