新华社北京8月16日电（记者曹嘉玥）应国家主席习近平邀请，厄瓜多尔总统诺沃亚8月16日清晨抵达北京，开始对中国进行为期8天的国事访问。厄瓜多尔是拉美重要国家，今年是中厄建立全面战略伙伴关系十周年。近年来，在两国元首战略引领下，中厄关系保持良好发展势头。此访是诺沃亚总统首次对中国进行国事访问。外交部发言人日前表示，中方期待通过此访进一步夯实两国政治互信，赓续传统友谊，推动中厄全面战略伙伴关系不断取得新进展，更好造福两国人民。
