习主席形象地指出：“党内政治生活是锻炼党性、提高思想觉悟的熔炉。如果炉子长期不生火，或者生了火却没有足够的温度，那是炼不出钢来的。”有什么样的党内政治生活，就会有什么样的党风，各级党组织应把党内政治生活这个大熔炉的炉火真正烧旺，让党员干部在熔炉之中锤炼党性、提纯思想、砥砺作风，炼成“金刚不坏之身”。党要管党，首先要从党内政治生活管起；从严治党，首先要从党内政治生活严起。严肃的党内政治生活，是马克思主义政党区别于其他政党的重要标志，是坚持党的性质和宗旨的重要法宝，是实现自我净化、自我完善、自我革新、自我提高的重要途径。延安整风时期的一次党小组活动中，大革命时期入党的一名老党员一边听报告，一边在藤椅上跷起二郎腿。周恩来同志批评道：“你在专心听报告吗……党龄越长越要自觉遵守纪律啊！”正是在这样的传承与坚守中，一代代共产党人在党内政治生活的大熔炉中淬火成钢。党内政治生活松一寸，党员干部队伍就散一尺。实践证明，什么时候全党讲政治、党内政治生活正常健康，我们党就风清气正、团结统一，充满生机活力，党的事业就蓬勃发展。反之，就弊病丛生、人心涣散，各种错误思想得不到及时纠正，给党的事业造成严重损失。党的十八大以来，以习近平同志为核心的党中央高度重视加强和规范党内政治生活，为全党严肃党内政治生活、保持党的先进性和纯洁性起到了示范引领作用，有力推动了各级党组织和党员干部认真落实党内政治生活制度，党内政治生活的政治性、时代性、原则性、战斗性普遍增强。然而，仍有个别单位党内政治生活不经常、不认真、不严肃，对党员干部教育管理失之于宽、失之于软，管党治党的大熔炉变成了没有热度的冷灶台。严格党内政治生活，贵在经常、重在认真、要在落实。党的十八届六中全会通过了《关于新形势下党内政治生活的若干准则》，开启了全面从严治党的崭新篇章。各级党组织应着力抓好思想教育这个根本，抓好严明纪律这个关键，抓好选人用人这个导向，用好组织生活这个经常性手段，抓住继承和创新这两个关键环节，进一步严肃党内政治生活、净化党内政治生态。批评和自我批评是解决党内矛盾的有力武器，也是清除党内各种政治灰尘的锐利工具。党内政治生活的质量，在相当程度上取决于这个武器用得怎么样。应把批评和自我批评贯穿于党内政治生活的各个方面，大胆使用、经常使用、用足用好这一武器，通过开展积极健康的思想斗争，帮助广大党员、干部分清是非、辨别真假，坚持真理、修正错误。各级领导干部应率先垂范、以身作则，带头开展批评和自我批评，当好讲真话的表率，涵养能容人的雅量，营造说实情、建诤言、敢斗争的浓厚氛围，确保党内政治生活的炉火越烧越旺，推动党的政治优势和组织优势不断转化为制胜优势。
