新华社北京8月11日电外交部发言人郭嘉昆11日在回答记者提问时表示，中方敦促太平洋岛国论坛秘书处恪守一个中国原则，妥善处理涉台问题，避免影响中国和论坛关系健康稳定发展。有记者问：据了解，太平洋岛国论坛一名官员称，台湾代表将出席8月30日至9月4日在帕劳举行的太平洋岛国论坛领导人会议。去年因中方抗议，台湾方面被禁止参加所罗门群岛主办的太平洋岛国论坛领导人会议。中方对此有何评论？郭嘉昆表示，在中国台湾地区参与国际组织活动问题上，中方立场是一贯、明确的，即必须按照一个中国原则处理，这也是联合国大会第2758号决议确认的国际关系基本准则和国际社会普遍共识。郭嘉昆说：“中方敦促太平洋岛国论坛秘书处恪守一个中国原则，妥善处理涉台问题，避免影响中国和论坛关系健康稳定发展。”
