“小黄状态一直不太好，您要不要找他谈谈？”前段时间，炊事班班长告诉我，列兵黄贤伟来到炊事班后，配菜总出错不说，有几次切菜差点切到手。这让我十分不解，黄贤伟入伍前就考取了厨师证，按理说烹制各种佳肴得心应手，怎会频频掉链子？我找小黄了解情况。起初，他不愿交流，在我一再追问下才说出实情：“当初我其实并不想去炊事班。”他说，他身体素质好，参军就想在沙场上血性拼搏、挥汗如雨，在新训时他还被当作训练苗子重点培养。下队前，他满心激动，期待在火热的基层连队一展身手。没承想，分班时我们了解到他入伍前就考取了厨师证，就直接推荐他去了炊事班。他初到连队不敢“违抗命令”，也没有说出真实想法。可在炊事班的这段时间，他觉得自己离梦想越来越远，难免经常郁闷走神。 “我知道，保障大家的伙食同样很重要。但既然来当兵，我就想全力拼搏，去比武、拿名次！”我见他目光坚定，心里一阵触动——就在几个月前，二级上士林子华也曾用这样的眼神看着我。林子华是中队骨干，一直很想提升学历。那天，他告诉我，他打算报名参加自考。对此我立即表示异议：“自考有十几门课，你每天训练、值班、带兵，哪有时间准备？成考科目少，拿证也快，为什么不参加成考呢？” 随后，我一股脑讲述成考的各种优势，想劝他改变想法。可小林站得笔直，语气坚定：“这些情况我都了解过，但我就是想试一下，试过了才能不给自己留遗憾！”我觉得自己也是一番好意，他却不领情，就让他再考虑一下，然后不欢而散。 “我这都是为他好啊，怎么就是‘一根筋’……”晚饭过后，我遇到指导员，向他说起白天的事情。指导员没有赞同我的观点，而是问：“小林年龄不大，有足够的时间去试错。你现在这么生气，是单纯因为担心他考不上，还是因为他‘不听话’？” 我被问住了。在军校时，我正是在队干部的指引下，得以发挥特长施展才华。因此我认定，大多数年轻战士阅历浅、经验少，理应听从带兵人的意见。但带兵人的判断，也往往囿于自己的片面经验。这样的意见，一定要被战士们无条件执行吗？我以为的“为你好”，真的那么“好”吗？那天晚上，我回屋整理了近几年自考的要求、流程、科目难度，第二天交给小林，告诉他：“你认真考虑好，无论你做什么决定，我都支持你。” 思绪收回，我望着黄贤伟满是期待的目光，那晚指导员的话仿佛又在耳边响起：“相信他们能作出最好的选择。”最终，中队研究后批准了小黄调整岗位的请求。走上新战位，黄贤伟迅速提振状态，工作训练都十分积极。前不久，我们组织群众性练兵比武，他发挥出色，取得手榴弹投掷应用课目第三名。
