今年暑假，走进湖南省沅陵县白岩界村王家大院红军作战指挥部旧址参观的游客，比往年多了不少。这座古朴宅院，是当年红二、六军团筹划进攻沅陵县城时设立的作战指挥部。盛夏的湘西暑气蒸腾，我站在旧址里一遍遍讲述红军往事，几番下来嗓子有些哑，却没觉得累。几天前，孙女从外地回来看我。当时，我正收拾东西准备到王家大院讲解，孙女笑着说：“爷爷，你又去当‘红色充电宝’啊？”全家都笑了。我笑完也琢磨，童言无忌——我做的事，可不就是给更多人的精神充电吗？沅陵是湘鄂川黔革命根据地核心区域，当年红二、六军团在此驻扎作战、策应中央红军长征，无数沅陵儿女高唱着“要当红军不怕杀”的歌谣踊跃参军。1934年，我的舅舅张传兴追随红军投身革命，在战斗中身负重伤不幸被俘。面对敌人威逼利诱，他宁死不屈，最终献出年轻的生命。听着红军和舅舅的故事长大，年岁渐长，这份记忆渐渐变成一种信念——身为红军烈士后代，守护红色历史、传扬长征精神，是我理应扛起的责任。 2009年，我从县审计局退休，有了更多时间和精力做点自己想做的事。起初，我只是零散收集红色史料。2015年第一次踏入王家大院时，眼前景象让我心里一惊：老屋墙体多处开裂，屋顶多处坍塌破败，7户村民杂居在院中。红军当年的痕迹，几乎要被岁月彻底抹去。站在院里，我暗下决心，一定要留住这座宅子的红色记忆。个人力量毕竟有限，我将情况反映给相关部门。为了方便，我索性从县城搬进村里住。那些日子，大院的灯火常常亮至深夜，乡亲们你一言我一语，讲述着红军当年在此驻扎的故事。根据调研结果，我撰写文章呼吁重视这座革命旧址的保护修缮。没过多久，王家大院抢修工程正式启动，县里还同步规划筹建沅陵苏区史实陈列馆。2021年，王家大院被湖南省人民政府公布为省级文物保护单位。亲友们常常劝我，展馆建成了，是时候停下脚步好好休息了。我却觉得，传承红色精神的事业还有很长的路要走，把火种延续下去，重点在青少年身上。如今，我在中国工农红军湖南沅陵七甲溪红军学校担任校外辅导员，一有空就走进校园为孩子们讲述革命故事，带着学生们到当年红军作战、游击队活动的遗址开展研学，协助学校打造校内红色文化展厅。溪子口小学还选拔培养了一批红领巾讲解员，和我一起在王家大院开展志愿讲解。看着孩子们眼里闪烁着光亮，我觉得所有辛苦都有意义。我想，只要还能坐车远行、迈步上山，播撒红色种子这件事，我就不会停下。
