推开戚继光舰机舱棚的防火门，一股热浪扑面而来。记者跟着大学生士兵吴锦涛顺着舷梯向下，绕过管线和设备来到主机集控室，拿着手电筒和红外点温仪巡检主机。主机舱内，“钢铁巨兽”怒吼咆哮着，面对面讲话都很难听清。由戚继光舰和昆仑山舰组成的83舰编队，前不久从青岛某军港解缆起航，执行远海综合实习访问任务。吴锦涛去年入伍后被分配到戚继光舰，成为一名主机兵，这是他第一次远航。只见，他打着手电筒，检查完主机摇臂工作情况后，逐一查看各系统燃油、滑油等油位、压力和运转温度，并记录下数据。 “对于主机兵来说，舰艇离港，就意味着战斗打响。”回到集控室，主机值更班长、二级军士长李盛林告诉记者，舰艇航行不分昼夜，24小时轮流值更是他们的日常，值更期间每小时至少巡检一次。官兵称水线以下的战位为“地下室”。与驾驶室的“海景房”相比，这里没有雷达海图，看不见日月和浪花，只有轰鸣的主机持续运转，但战舰的所有动力皆源于此。 “虽然看不到海阔天空，但遇到风浪的时候，这里不容易晕船。”同在集控室值更的二级上士王志龙笑着说。2017年入伍的他是名舱段兵，和这一年入列的戚继光舰是“同年兵”。 “舱段班主要负责舰艇辅助机械设备的维护、操作与管理。”戚继光舰舱段班班长张震说，在海上航行中，任何微小故障都可能引发连锁反应，他们必须保障设备稳定运行。如果说主机是舰艇的心脏，那么遍布全舰的管路则如同血管，将水、油、气等输送至相关部位。从舵机到减摇鳍，从锅炉到冷水机组，从海水淡化装置到生活污水处理装置……舱段兵都需要定时巡查，与主机兵的巡查项目较为集中不同，舱段兵的巡查地点相对分散，但每个点位都不能遗漏。 “虽然环境艰苦，但每次成功排障之后，我都特别有成就感。”李盛林讲起不久前的一次经历。那天傍晚，集控室监测到右主机某管路滑油压力参数异常。他和战友第一时间向上级报告，同步展开逐段检查，最终确认故障原因。海浪奔涌，舰艇驰骋。从发现参数异常，到成功排除故障，李盛林和战友仅用了十几分钟。常年在水线以下的他们很少见到星辰大海，却守护着战舰每一次平安远航。戚继光舰副机电长姚梦雷告诉记者，在任务时间长、海上自主保障的状态下，主机出现任何细小油路故障都存在扩大风险，若发现不及时、处置不果断，极易引发主机降速、异响甚至停机，直接影响舰艇安全和任务进程。说话间，王志龙完成又一轮巡检后回到集控室，并着手准备第二天的舰艇基础知识考核……
