受今年第10号台风“美莎克”持续影响，广西梧州辖区内接连遭遇强降雨，西江、桂江水位持续上涨，河西老码头、沿江步道全线被浑浊江水淹没。7月7日，广西防汛指挥部将梧州防汛应急响应提升至一级。武警广西总队梧州支队官兵闻令而动，火速集结赶赴西江、桂江梧州段沿线河岸，全力投入堤坝加高加固工作。抵达现场后，官兵们第一时间勘查水情、研判险情，科学统筹划分工作小组。搬运板材、筑牢支柱、压紧横板，官兵们有条不紊地将一块块防洪挡板安装到防洪堤的墙顶上。为抢在洪峰过境前完成堤坝加高加固任务，官兵们星夜奋战。7月7日傍晚至深夜，降雨持续不断，官兵们衣服早已湿透，但斗志不减、作业不停。历经十余个小时的连续奋战，武警官兵高效完成了3000余米防洪堤的整体加高加固作业，大幅提升了辖区河段堤坝防洪能力。目前，梧州市西江、桂江段防汛抢险工作仍处于关键阶段。官兵将始终坚守防汛一线，全力以赴守护人民群众生命财产安全。
