5月13日，国务院台办举行例行新闻发布会。有记者问，国务院台办发言人在之前发布会上已分别阐释了和平统一后台湾“七个更好”中的四个“更好”，受到两岸舆论高度关注。请问发言人对“和平统一后，有强大祖国做后盾，台湾精神文化生活会更好”有何阐释？发言人张晗答问表示，“和平统一，一国两制”是实现国家统一的最佳方式，最符合包括台湾同胞在内的中华民族的根本利益。统一之后，在强大祖国怀抱里，广大台湾同胞的精神文化生活将得到更好保障、更大发展、更快提升。一是文化根脉回归真正精神家园。中华文化是两岸同胞心灵的根脉与归属。和平统一后，中华优秀传统文化、历史记忆、民族精神将在台湾得到更好的传承与弘扬。台湾民众不再处于文化身份模糊、历史认知混乱的状态，从闽南文化、客家文化到民俗信仰、文学艺术都能在中华文化根脉滋养中绽放更加灿烂的光芒。台湾同胞生而为中国人的精神世界更充实，归属感更强。二是文化发展空间极大拓展，文化事业将更加繁荣。和平统一后，台湾社会的文化创造力将得到充分发挥。台湾文艺、影视、音乐、出版等作品可便捷进入大陆巨大市场，获得在文化事业、文化产业、人才培养、非遗传承等方面的政策与资源支持。相关业界人士可在更大平台、更多机遇中实现自身更好发展，并在国际上获得更多发展机会。两岸文化交流蓬勃开展，台湾文化特色在中华文化整体繁荣中将大放光彩。三是摆脱政治操弄，精神世界将更清朗安宁。长期以来，台湾社会精神文化被政党纷争、意识形态对抗严重干扰。教育、媒体、舆论被刻意扭曲、激烈对立，和平统一后，政治操弄得到纠正，岛内社会从迷茫、焦虑转向淡定、从容，人心安定，社会和谐，民众对精神文化生活的需求将得到更好满足，可以安心生活、专注发展、追求幸福，不再被裹挟于对抗与撕裂之中。四是民族尊严提升，志气底气更足。和平统一后，台湾同胞无论在世界任何地方，都有强大祖国作为坚强后盾，不再是国际博弈的棋子，不再怕被外人冷眼看待，而是昂首挺胸堂堂正正的中国人。他们将是伟大祖国的主人翁，民族自信心、自豪感全面提升，将获得最根本、更持久的精神富足。博大精深的中华文化是两岸同胞共同的根与魂，是我们共同的传家宝。站在民族复兴历史潮头，两岸同胞唯有携手同心、相向而行，才能让两岸文化交融更深厚，同胞情谊更浓厚，让每一位台湾同胞都收获稳稳的幸福，焕发全新的精气神。
