解放军报讯路金方、杨仕伟报道：近日，根据联合国驻南苏丹特派团授权，中国第12批赴南苏丹（朱巴）维和步兵营官兵会同联合国工作人员，成功完成赴蒙加拉地区的武装巡逻任务，全面检验了维和官兵在复杂陌生环境下遂行多样化军事任务的能力。蒙加拉地区是连接首都朱巴与北部各州的交通枢纽。此次巡逻全程156公里，途经多个村落及检查站，沿途通信联络难度较大，安全环境复杂。领受任务后，维和官兵迅速对任务区域地形地貌、社情民情及潜在风险点进行缜密研判，精心制订多套行动预案，并提前组织针对性训练，重点强化观察警戒、通信联络和应急救援等技能。巡逻过程中，维和官兵始终保持高度戒备状态。在关键点位，维和官兵均组织现地勘察，详细记录道路状况、人员活动等关键信息，不断充实完善任务区基础数据库，为后续行动积累了宝贵资料。抵达蒙加拉后，维和步兵营带队指挥员拜会了当地政府及警察局负责人，双方就加强军警协作、共同维护地区安全稳定进行了深入交流。蒙加拉地方政府高度赞赏中国军队为南苏丹和平进程所作出的积极贡献。武装巡逻任务结束后，随行的巴基斯坦籍联合国军事观察员阿提夫表示：“中国维和官兵展现出极高的专业素养和训练水平，以卓越表现圆满完成了联合国赋予的任务。”
