Indonesia Desk
A bounded institutional-news research desk focused initially on Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia (Kemhan) Berita, in original Indonesian. Coverage excludes the armed forces' wider publications, ministerial decrees, and national defense-policy documents.
Shadow evaluation — no public corpus records
Kemhan Berita is collected on a separate scheduled shadow-state branch for private source evaluation. Its original Indonesian articles are not in the public IPR corpus. Fifteen dated Berita links and two historical Siaran Pers press links provide attributed outbound navigation only; neither group constitutes human-reviewed IPR citations or public archive records. Five preserved originals received preliminary review; independent Indonesian-language signoff and the Day 7/14/30 collection reviews remain outstanding.

Explore official Indonesian defense publications
These fifteen links open original Berita articles on the Indonesian Ministry of Defense website. They are publisher references, not independently human-reviewed IPR citations. Publication dates and Indonesian headlines are attributed to the ministry; the links do not verify the institution's claims, imply its endorsement, or add archived public records.

How to read four source headlines
- Forest receipts, 7 October: The Rp13.24 trillion reported total is not exclusively administrative fines. Indonesia's Attorney General's Office breaks it into approximately Rp3.48 trillion forestry fines, Rp1.54 trillion non-tax revenue, and Rp8.23 trillion tax receipts. The 259,230.73-hectare Stage VIII transfer is distinct from the larger cumulative land-recovery figure. Attorney General's Office, 6 October 2026 (original Indonesian).
- School-service personnel, 9 October: Although the original headline calls all 1,509 participants cadets, Kemhan's own article describes a mixed group including cadets, medical trainees, escorts and coordinators. The 9–27 October service period was planned when published; the announcement does not prove its completion. Kemhan original, 9 October 2026.
- Egypt bilateral defense cooperation, 12 October: Kemhan reports plans to strengthen defense-industry and training cooperation at the 11 October presidential meeting. Indonesia's State Secretariat separately lists four announced cooperation instruments, none individually identified as a signed defense-industry procurement or production agreement. Do not infer a fifth signed defense MOU or completed implementation from the general cooperation language. State Secretariat, 11 October 2026 (original Indonesian).
- North Kalimantan border-battalion visits, 3 October: Kemhan reports the defense minister visited Yonif TP 921 in Malinau and Yonif TP 922 in Tana Tidung, reviewed marshalling areas and discussed accommodation or infrastructure needs. These are attributed ministerial-visit accounts, not independent verification of unit combat readiness, completed permanent barracks or new troop deployments. The Yonif TP 922 article's closing attribution names a "Pangdam Wirabuana", inconsistent with separate Indonesian Army and Tana Tidung government identification of regional Kodam VI/Mulawarman. Accompanying command attribution remains unresolved and should not be treated as a verified attendance fact. Indonesian Army, November 2025; Tana Tidung government, June 2025.

Kemhan press releases (Siaran Pers)
Two 2026 releases from the Ministry of Defense's separate Siaran Pers directory. Each link points to the ministry's own dated release with a publisher press-statement number. This is a limited factual link directory, not an independently human-reviewed IPR archive or citation. The ministry's statements are attributed claims, not independently confirmed events or policy implementation.
Individually reviewed official-source references
Source links appear only after publication-specific review. They point to the institutions’ own pages, not to IPR archive records; shadow capture and desk qualification are separate.

Pre-registered source universe
The declared source universe distinguishes isolated active shadow families from merely researched or blocked institutions. It is not coverage. Shadow preservation does not enter the public corpus before independent source admission.
Sources identified
| Source | Item format | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Indonesian Ministry of Defense — Berita (Indonesian) | Dated ministry news HTML; isolated shadow preservation and private research reader | Institutional Berita statements on www.kemhan.go.id, not verbatim official decrees, treaties or independent verification of military capability. Original-language article text stays in shadow state. No publisher bodies, photographs or translations are displayed here. |
| Indonesian Ministry of Defense — Siaran Pers (Indonesian) | Disabled parser candidate; no authorized collection | Separate sparse press-release family; two 2026 ministry press statements have metadata-only outbound links, but the parser remains disabled and there is no press collector or preserved Siaran Pers state. Berita collection continuity does not establish press reliability or reuse rights. |
Remaining barriers to source admission
- Original-language editorial review
- Private captured Berita originals have undergone assistant-assisted integrity and focused factual checks, not named Indonesian-language editorial certification. A publisher geographic inconsistency on one article and other factual qualifications require independent review before reviewed citations, translated analysis or corpus admission.
- Source-specific publisher rights
- The Kemhan site identifies ministry copyright; IPR has no documented blanket licence to republish its articles, images or translations. Both public-link groups point outward to seventeen first-party pages (fifteen Berita and two Siaran Pers); neither permits republication of publisher originals, photographs or translations.
- Collection reliability and eligibility
- The initial isolated collection began October 6, 2026. The October 11 evidence preflight cannot satisfy the October 13 Day 7 checkpoint, later human Day 14/30 reviews or 30-day corpus-admission test.
- Scope is not nationwide coverage
- Kemhan institutional news alone cannot establish complete coverage of Indonesian defense, individual services, parliament, or formal policy documents. Siaran Pers and other agencies remain separate disabled or unreviewed sources.
Limits of this desk, stated plainly
- Fifteen Berita and two Siaran Pers first-party links are available for navigation; no article body, model analysis or independently reviewed citation is published, and Indonesia has no admitted public corpus records.
- Isolated shadow collection is not production collection. A daily collection-success ledger does not establish completeness of ministry releases.
- Original Berita reports represent the ministry's communication, not independent confirmation of outcomes, agreements, force readiness or project completion.
- Named Indonesian-language, content-rights and Day 7/14/30 decisions still govern reviewed citation releases and production admission; outbound official links are not article-republication approval.
